Just Northeast of Colorado Springs along Highway 24, Falcon was originally a railroad crossing for the historic Denver and New Orleans Railroad in the late 1800’s. After some growth challenges, including a flood in 1935, Falcon remained a quiet home to mostly ranchers. However, it nearly doubled in population in the 1990’s as the greater Colorado Springs area expanded. Although still unincorporated today, Falcon has expanded to include a wide variety of modern conveniences such as Falcon District 49 Schools and Antler Creek Golf Course, noted as the longest course in Colorado and the second longest in the Nation.
