The City of Fountain is the oldest town in El Paso County, located in the Fountain Valley just east of Fort Carson Army Base. In the late 1880’s, Fountain was in the running for being named the Colorado State Capitol. Although it didn’t acquire this designation, it was named the Millennium City of the US by the New York Times in 1999 and later the “All American City” by the National Civic League in 2002. It continues to thrive and grow, thanks to many amenities and resources available to residents, such as the 650-acre Blue Stem Prairie Open Space and Big Johnson Reservoir. View Properties |
